5-Star OT David Sanders Jr. Commits to Tennessee

Consensus 5-star OT and top-rated OT in the 2025 class, David Sanders Jr., has committed to Tennessee over Ohio State, Nebraska, Georgia, and other offers.

Sanders released a statement through his agency, WME Sports, where he shared that ultimately this decision came down to the place that made him feel like he was part of a family. Tennessee, to Sanders, felt like home.

According to three of the four major recruiting services, Sanders is a top 4 player nationally and the top OT in the 2025 class (On3 places him 6th nationally and 2nd for OT).

On the On3 industry composite, Sanders is ranked 4th nationally and 1st at OT.

This is Tennessee’s 13th Blue Chip commitment and 22nd commitment overall in the 2025 class. The Volunteers now rank 7th nationally and 5th in the SEC following Sanders’ commitment.

Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy on NIL: Tell Your Agent Quit Calling Us

Most recently, Gundy shared that he’s told his players that there is no more negotiating about NIL and no more talk of the portal – that time has come and gone. Now is the time for football and coaching.

“The business side of what we do now is we have to have those conversations with them. ‘Tell your agent to quit calling us and asking for more money. It’s non-negotiable now. We’ll start again in December.’”

4-Star S Bryce Fitzgerald Commits to Miami

Consensus 4-Star Bryce Fitzgerald has decided to stay home and committed to the nearby Hurricanes over Florida, Florida State, LSU, and others.

For Fitzgerald, the thing about Miami that he appreciated the most was Coach Cristobal’s hands-on approach as a teacher and coach.

Fitzgerald ranks as high as the 73rd overall player nationally and 8th rated player at his position (Rivals and On3, respectively). According to the On3 industry composite, Fitzgerald ranks 122nd nationally and 14th for his position.

This is Miami’s 15th 4-star commitment and 22nd commitment overall, which ranks 10th nationally and 2nd in the ACC as the Hurricanes overtake Florida State with Fitzgerald’s commitment.

4-Star Edge Chase Linton Decommits from Rutgers; Georgia the Team to Watch

4-Star Edge Chase Linton committed to Rutgers back in June following an official visit, but the near-consensus 4-star has decommitted from the Scarlet Knights.

Linton visited Georgia after already committing to Rutgers. He is also planning fall visits to Ohio State and a follow-up fall visit to Georgia, again. For what it’s worth, On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Georgia the clear advantage, at 99.3%.

Linton ranks as high as 191st nationally and 24th for his position according to 247Sports. The On3 industry composite ranks him 244th nationally and 26th at his position.

Rutgers’ 2025 class still sits at 29 commitments, 4 of which are 4-stars. The Scarlet Knights’ class now ranks 25th nationally and 8th in the Big Ten.

4-Star RB Shekai Mills-Knight Commits to Ole Miss

4-Star RB Shekai Mills-Knight has committed to Ole Miss over Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, among others.

Ole Miss was the first school to offer Mills-Knight long before he was even ranked, which always stuck with the running back. Auburn made a late push, but ultimately Ole Miss is the school for him.

Mills-Knight ranks highest on Rivals, which name him the 116th national prospect and 7th ranked RB. On the On3 industry composite, Mills-Knight ranks 271st nationally and 18th at his position.

This is Ole Miss’ 7th Blue Chip commitment and 15th commitment overall for a 2025 class which ranks 20th nationally and 10th in the SEC.

Matt Rhule Provides Timeline for Nebraska Starting QB Decision

Nebraska’s Matt Rhule shared that he plans on making a decision about the team’s starting quarterback in the coming week.

Between Heinrich Haarberg, Dylan Raiola, and Daniel Kaelin, Haarberg and Raiola are the frontrunners, with someone earlier this week saying that it’s supposedly obvious that Raiola should and will be the starting QB.

Rhule recently also said that he feels confident in all of the guys, and believes all of them can lead this Huskers team to success and wins.

3-Star TE Mike Tyler Commits to LSU

3-Star TE Mike Tyler committed to LSU yesterday over NC State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and others.

LSU started recruiting Tyler a little later than other schools, but things took off fast once LSU targeted Tyler. After an offer, camping at LSU, an official visit, and returning for a recruiting event over the course of one summer, it was a quick process for the Tigers and Tyler, and it was after the official visit that Tyler actually made up his mind.

Tyler ranks 714th nationally and 38th for the position according to On3’s industry composite. This is LSU’s 22nd commitment for the 2025 class, a class which ranks 3rd nationally and 2nd in the SEC.

Louisville WR Caullin Lacy Suffers Broken Collarbone, Out 6-8 Weeks

Louisville announced that top portal addition Caullin Lacy suffered a broken collarbone in practice yesterday, and Lacy is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

After tallying 1,316 yards on 91 receptions last season, Lacy hit the transfer portal and was ranked by On3 as the No. 4 ranked WR. Of the 31 transfers Louisville brought in Lacy ranked as the top transfer in the class which ranked No. 1 nationally in On3’s transfer portal team rankings.

2026 3-Star Edge Dutch Horisk Commits to Oregon

2026 3-star Edge Dutch Horisk committed to Oregon yesterday over offers from USC, Penn State, Oklahoma, Miami, Tennessee, and others.

Horisk visited Oregon recently for their Saturday Night Live recruiting event, and he decided then that he was committing. In his own words, he described the environment as amazing. How Horisk believes he can be developed as a player and as a man is what sold him.

Horisk ranks 411th nationally and 28th at his position for the 2026 class, with his highest rating being a 4-star rating from Rivals.

For the still-young 2026 team rankings, Oregon ranks 1st with its 5 commitments, 4 of which are 4-stars.

On3’s Top 25 Most Impactful Players for 2024

On3’s Jesse Simonton provided his Top 25 most impactful players, nationally, ahead of the 2024 season after having done a conference by conference breakdown.

At the top of the list are a pair of Michigan Wolverines, with Will Johnson and Mason Graham, respectively, securing the No. 1 and 2 positions.

7 of the Top 10 are defensive players, with No. 4. Will Campbell (OT, LSU), No. 6 Luther Burden (WR, Missouri), and No. 9 Carson Beck (QB, Georgia) as the offensive selections.

The Big Ten and SEC are tied with 9 selections, followed by the Big 12 with 4 selections, and the ACC + Notre Dame with 3 selections.
