Consensus 4-Star RB Jonathan Hatton Jr. Sets Commitment Date

Consensus 4-star RB Jonathan Hatton Jr. has shared with On3’s Chad Simmons that he is planning to announce his commitment in just under a week: Saturday, March 22.

Hatton had previously committed to Oklahoma, but since decommitting, most of the buzz in his recruitment has been on Texas A&M.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Aggies an enormous 95.6% chance to land his commitment, with just a re-commitment to Oklahoma (2.0%) or a commitment to Ohio State (1.4%) the only programs with at least a 1% chance.

Hatton Jr. ranks as high as 64th nationally and 5th at the RB position (On3), but the On3 industry composite ranks him 73rd nationally and 6th at his position.

Michigan Hiring Charlotte’s David Denham As Asst DL Coach

247’s Matt Zenitz is reporting that Michigan has hired Charlotte DTs Coach David Denham as an Asst DL Coach at Michigan.

Coach Denham also has experience at Western Michigan, where he worked with multiple draftees and current Michigan DL Coach Lou Esposito.

Wyoming EDGE Sabastian Harsh Enters Transfer Portal as Grad Transfer

On3’s Pete Nakos shared on Twitter in the last couple of days that Wyoming EDGE Sabastian Harsh is entering the transfer portal as a grad transfer.

Harsh appeared in 13 games as a true freshman in 2021, but only notched 7 tackles. After not appearing in 2022, he came on strong in 2023, finishing with 50 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, a fumble recovery, and a pass defended. He took a minor step back in 2024, with 40 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks, this decline is likely largely because he only appeared in 8 games.

Harsh presumably has one season of eligibility remaining and will bring some solid experience to a locker room somewhere.

4-Star LB Trey McGlothlin Commits to Oklahoma State

4-star LB Trey McGlothlin committed to Oklahoma State yesterday night over offers from Kansas State, Iowa State, Kansas, and Arizona State, among others.

One of the top high school players in the state of Oklahoma, McGlothlin had 72 tackles, 8 TFLs, 2 sacks, 3 interceptions (2 pick-sixes), 3 pass breakups, 3 QB hurries, and a forced fumble.

Based on that, it’s not wonder that Rivals has McGlothlin rated as a 4-star and ranked as the 4th player in the state of Oklahoma and 28th ranked LB nationally. No other recruiting service has rated McGlothlin yet, though.

This is the 4th commitment for Oklahoma State for the 2026 class, a class which ranks 47th nationally and 9th in the Big 12.

3-Star WR Cynai Thomas Commits to Oregon State

3-star WR Cynai Thomas committed to Oregon State yesterday over a final five programs of Boise State, Cal, Utah, and Washington.

Thomas shared on 247Sports’ YouTube channel his decision. “Corvallis has been home for me and my family. They treated me and my family like one of their own. The fans are wild and I love how much they care about the Beavs. I love how they’re into every single game. Coach Pat [McCann] and [Ryan Gunderson] are amazing coaches and very smart. They know the game and they know what it takes to get kids to the next level.”

Thomas rates as an 89 on both On3 and 247 (55th and 56th of WRs, respectively), just falling below a 4-star rating on both sites. The On3 industry composite (thanks to lower ratings from ESPN and Rivals), places Thomas 513th nationally and 80th at the WR position.

For Oregon State, On3 ranks the Beavers’ recruiting class 45th nationally at the moment given the ratings of the 3 commitments.
