Top 100 4-Star Edge Jesse Harold Commits to LSU

Consensus 4-star and Top 100 prospect in On3’s composite ranking, Jesse Harold, has committed to LSU. Harold commits to the Tigers over schools like Texas A&M, Illinois, Colorado, and Auburn, among others.

This marks LSU’s 13th commitment in the 2025 class, and gives the Tigers some distance between it and Alabama in 3rd place in the 2025 Industry Rankings for On3. Not only is LSU 2nd overall per On3, but the Tigers now have the highest average recruit rating for schools with at least five commitments for the 2025 class, as of now.

4-Star QB Antwann Hill Commits to Memphis

Consensus 4-star QB Antwann Hill commits to Memphis over the likes of Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Texas A&M. Memphis’ class currently sits at 71st for the 2025 class, but with only 8 commitments, it sits 2nd overall in the new look American Conference and 1st in terms of average recruit ranking.

In the 247Sports era, Antwann Hill is the highest rated recruit to commit to Memphis out of high school since 2009 and is the highest rated offensive recruit out of high school ever.

Consensus 4-Star IOL Micah DeBose Commits to Alabama

Consensus 4-star IOL Micah DeBose committed to in-state Alabama yesterday. DeBose was previously committed to Georgia until this past December, when he re-opened his recruitment.

Three of the four major recruiting services rank DeBose as 10th or 11th of the interior offensive linemen, with his composite positional ranking landing him as the 9th rated IOL.

DeBose chose the Crimson Tide over LSU and Ohio State, among others. This places Alabama’s 2025 class 3rd and 2nd in the SEC.

Rhule on QB Situation: “We’ll let them play it out”

Nebraska currently has three scholarship QBs: Heinrich Haarberg, Daniel Kaelin, and Dylan Raiola. Haarberg was a former fringe 4-star from the Class of 2021, Kaelin was a consensus 3-star from the class of 2024, and Dylan Raiola was arguably the top QB from the Class of 2024, giving Raiola the clear pedigree edge.

Haarberg technically has the production edge, appearing in 10 games. But in those 10 games, his completion percentage was 49% and his 7 passing touchdowns matched his 7 interceptions.

As for the choice Coach Matt Rhule has to make, he is not ready to set a deadline and is giving each QB more time to separate themselves. Training camp begins for the Huskers on July 31st, and Coach Rhule hopes to have a starter named before the season opener against UTEP a month later.

2026 4-Star QB Brady Smigiel Commits to Florida State

Florida State’s top rated 2026 class got stronger with the addition of high 4-star QB Brady Smigiel yesterday. It’s only the Seminoles 4th commit of the 2026 class, but it’s a class which already features four 4-stars when USC is the only other school with four commitments of any caliber.

Smigiel, Rivals.com’s 5th rated recruit and top rated QB for the entire 2026 class as of now, committed to Florida State over other schools like Oregon, Michigan, and Notre Dame, among others.

Former South Carolina DL Drew Tuazama Transfers to UCLA

Former South Carolina DL Drew Tuazama is transferring to UCLA. A former low 3-star, Tuazama started his career with Syracuse for two seasons, before transferring to a junior college, then transferring to UAB to be all C-USA there for a season, to then transfer to South Carolina for a season.

Now, he will (possibly) finish his career at UCLA.

Fringe 4-Star DL Charles House Commits to Tennessee

After taking official visits to Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, high 3-star/low 4-star DL Charles House committed to Tennessee. House marks the 13th commitment for Tennessee’s 2025 class, which ranks 14th nationally and 8th in the SEC.

House rates as a 4-star according to On3, a high 3-star according to ESPN and Rivals, and a middle to high 3-star according to 247Sports, with the On3 composite ranking placing him in the upper half of 3-stars.

2025 3-Star Edge Nicolas Clayton Commits to Wisconsin

Three-star Edge Nicolas Clayton committed to Wisconsin yesterday. Of the recruiting sites which have rated Clayton, both place him as a medium to high 3-star in the 2025 class. Clayton chose the Badgers over his other Top 5 schools of Nebraska, Florida State, UCF, and Tulane.

This marks Wisconsin’s 21st commitment, and its 2025 class now ranks 20th in the country and 7th in the Big Ten.

Cincinnati Coach Fickell Believes Expanded CFP Will Help CFB

Wisconsin Head Coach Luke Fickell is a proponent of the expanded CFP.

Fickell, whose Cincinnati teams once made the four-team CFP and would have another time made the expanded CFP, believes this will give more teams more to play for late in the season. Critics of the model point out how it’s closer to the NFL model and is not what college football should be about.

Wisconsin would have qualified for the expanded playoff three separate times during the 10 years of the four-team playoff era and would have been in the discussion another three times.

2025 WR Dane Jones Commits to TCU

Fringe 4-Star WR Dane Jones has committed to TCU over Boston College. Jones’ offer list also included SMU, Florida, Missouri, and Baylor. Jones committed following his official visit to TCU this weekend.

This is TCU’s 17th commitment of the 2025 class, which finds TCU’s 21st ranked class at the top of the Big 12.
