5-Star TE Linkon Cure Commits to Kansas State

Composite 5-star TE Linkon Cure has committed to Kansas State over Oregon, Kansas, and Texas A&M.

During his official visit to Oregon, the Ducks made a great impression on Cure and it looked like they might have a strong chance to secure the TE’s talents. However, after visiting Kansas State, Cure knew Kansas State was home for him. A fan of Kansas State growing up, Cure described Manhattan, KS and the university as his type of people.

Kansas State’s 2025 class now ranks 49th nationally and 8th in the Big 12 with their 12 commitments, however, Wildcat fans hope Cure’s commitment will go a long way to building some more positive momentum.

Ollie Gordon Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

4-Star Edge Smith Orogbo Commits to Texas

Consensus 4-Star Edge Smith Orogbo committed to Texas over Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Kansas, and others.

On3 ranks Orogbo highest, as the 3rd best Edge in the 2025 class, with his composite ranking finding him 13th for the position and 95th nationally. For Orogbo, he chose Texas for the combination of what the Texas program is, how they plan to develop him as a player, the alumni connection, and for how close the program is to home.

Orogbo is Texas’ 13th commitment for a 2025 class which currently ranks 8th in the SEC and 14th nationally.

4-Star WR Cortez Mills Commits to Oklahoma

Consensus 4-Star WR Cortez Mills committed to Oklahoma over Clemson, Florida, LSU, and Nebraska. Mills made his official visit to Oklahoma a couple weeks ago, and on that official visit he told Head Coach Brent Venables and WR Coach Emmett Jones that he was committing.

Rivals has given him the nicest rating, where he ranks 14th at the position and 69th of all prospects. His composite ranking is 15th at the position and 109th of all prospects.

Rainey-Sale re-committed to Washington after having already been committed once before for four days back in January. This time, he commits to Washington after having officially visited UCLA, Cal, Oregon State, Florida State, and finally, Washington.

This is the Huskies 18th commitment, for a 2025 class which ranks 22nd nationally and ranks 8th in the Big Ten.

4-Star LB Gavin Nix Commits to Miami

4-Star LB Gavin Nix committed to Miami over Florida State and Oregon. Nix cited Miami’s connection to those outside of football and the connection to the community of Coral Gables and Miami as a large reason for committing to Miami.

Nix also loved the connections he built with the staff and the football alumni the Hurricanes can proudly boast.

The composite 4-star is currently ranked as the 17th best LB and 153rd ranked recruit per On3.

This is Miami’s 15th commitment for a 2025 class which ranks 16th nationally and 3rd in the ACC (best of the ACC teams not suing the ACC).

Utah DC Morgan Scalley Named Utah Head Coach in Waiting

Utah has named current Defensive Coordinator Morgan Scalley the Head Coach in Waiting to take over for current Head Coach Kyle Whittingham for whenever Coach Whittingham does decide to retire.

Scalley has been with Utah since 2007 and has been the Defensive Coordinator since 2016. Whittingham, on the other hand, is 64 years old and is entering his 20th year with Utah.

SMU Lands Pair of Defensive Recruits

SMU earned commitments from high 3-Stars 2025 LB Mark Iheanachor and 2025 Edge Chinedu Onyeagoro yesterday.

As for Iheanachor, he was down between SMU and Oklahoma, and he says it ended up being a very close race. Ultimately, the Mustangs win out on their first day in the ACC for the LB, largely because the scheme stood out as one Iheanachor wanted to be a part of.

As for Onyeagoro, he chose SMU over Georgia, Florida, Washington, and UCLA. Onyeagoro also really liked how SMU was able to lay out clearly how they want to best utilize the edge rusher in their defense. Like Iheanachor, how the coaches discussed their plans for him really stood out to Onyeagoro.

SMU now sits 34th in the country and 7th in the ACC with its 2025 class, which has a total of 14 commitments for now.
