Per a release and statement from the United States Department of Justice and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan, former Michigan QBs Coach and Co-OC Matt Weiss is officially being charged with unauthorized access to computers and aggravated identity theft.
The FBI has been investigating Weiss for months. He was the team’s QBs Coach in 2021 and was elevated to Co-OC in 2022, but was fired when news of the FBI investigation first emerged.
According to the release, Weiss has been hit with a 24-count indictment, with 14 counts of unauthorized access and 10 counts of aggravated identity theft.
