2026 4-Star Edge Hezekiah Harris Commits to Auburn

2026 consensus 4-star Edge Hezekiah Harris committed yesterday over Clemson, LSU, and others. Between Auburn, Clemson, and LSU, it would appear Harris is a fan of Tigers.

His relationships with coaches Hugh Freeze and especially Josh Aldridge are what really helped seal the deal for Harris.

Harris currently ranks as high as 16th nationally (On3) and 3rd at his position (On3, 247Sports), and his On3 composite ranking is 19th nationally and 3rd at his position.

As this entire newsletter will share, Auburn had a huge day yesterday which catapulted their 2026 class to #1 overall as they hold commitments from five 4-stars.

2026 4-Star LB Xavier Griffin Commits to USC

2026 consensus 4-star LB Xavier Griffin committed yesterday to USC while also holding offers from Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Tennessee, and others.

Griffin was on campus this weekend and loved what he had to hear about the new defensive scheme under new Defensive Coordinator D’Anton Lynn.

Griffin ranks as highly as 15th nationally and 1st at his position (247Sports for both), and the On3 composite rankings place Griffin 27th nationally and 2nd at his position.

USC’s 2026 class now ranks 3rd nationally and 2nd in the Big Ten, as the Trojans have four 4-star commitments and five commitments overall.

2026 4-Star RB Tradarian Ball Commits to Oregon

2026 consensus 4-star RB Tradarian Ball committed yesterday to Oregon over an offer list which included in-state schools like Texas, SMU, TCU, and nearby Oklahoma.

Position coach Ra’Shaad Samples, a Texas native, son of legendary Texas high school football coach Reginald Samples, and veteran in recruiting Texas talent at just 29 years old, built up a great relationship with Ball and was key in securing Ball’s commitment.

Ball ranks as high as 30th nationally (Rivals) and 2nd at his position (247Sports, Rivals), and he ranks 55th nationally and 5th at his position according to the On3 industry composite.

Ball is Oregon’s 2nd commitment for the 2026 class, where he joins Tony Cumberland, a 4-star DL from the state of Arizona.

Miami’s Mario Cristobal Sets Defensive Expectations

During ACC Media Days, Miami’s coach Mario Cristobal shared some of his defensive expectations for 2024.

Cristobal believed that the Hurricanes made a lot of progress last year, overall, defensively. Having a 2nd year with defensive coordinator Lance Guidry allows for more consistency and continuity that can only help to serve the Hurricanes.

After taking a step last year with Guidry at the helm on defense, Cristobal expects the defense to continue being driven, hungry, and wanting to be there, which will only allow the progress to continue to grow exponentially.

2026 4-Star LB Shadarius Toodle Commits to Auburn

2026 consensus 4-star LB Shadarius Toodle committed yesterday to Auburn while also holding offers from LSU, Ohio State, USC, Oklahoma, and others.

Toodle gets a “home feeling there on campus” and he loves how the coaches interact with their players. Defensive Coordinator DJ Durkin and DE Coach Josh Aldridge were pivotal in landing the linebacker’s commitment.

Toodle ranks as high as 51st nationally (Rivals) and 3rd at his position (ESPN), with the On3 composite ranking placing him 64th nationally and 4th at his position.

As previously mentioned, Toodle is part of Auburn’s 2026 class which sits at 5 Blue Chip commitments and at the top of the On3 team rankings for the time being.

4-Star S Lagonza Hayward Commits to Tennessee

Consensus 4-Star S Lagonza Hayward committed yesterday to Tennessee over Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and others.

After taking official visits to each school, Hayward felt that the relationships and connections at Tennessee made all of the difference.

Hayward ranks as high as 75th overall and 4th at his position (On3 for both), and his On3 composite ranking is 100th nationally and 9th for his position.

This is Tennessee’s 19th commitment for a 2025 class which ranks 11th overall and 5th in the SEC.

2026 4-Star LB JaMichael Garrett Commits to Auburn

Consensus 2026 4-Star LB JaMichael Garrett committed yesterday to Auburn over LSU, Ole Miss, Penn State, and others.

Auburn was the first SEC school to offer the Alabama-native, and Auburn has felt like home to him since the beginning of his recruiting journey so this commitment makes a lot of sense.

Garrett ranks as highly as 113th nationally (247Sports) and 9th at his position (247Sports and ESPN), and the On3 industry composite ranks him 124th nationally and 11th at his position.

As mentioned, Auburn’s Big Cat Weekend landed several commitments to give the Tigers the #1 national class in 2026 for now.

4-Star DL Antonio Coleman Re-Flips to Auburn

For the 2nd time, consensus 4-star DL Antonio Coleman has flipped from Alabama to Auburn.

Coleman loved that Freeze kept on Coleman’s recruitment even though Coleman had flipped from Auburn to Alabama once.

Coleman ranks as highly as 100th nationally (247Sports), and ranks 130th nationally and 12th at his position according to the On3 composite rankings.

Auburn has 18th commitments in the 2025 class, which ranks 12th nationally and 6th in the SEC.

4-Star CB Blake Woodby Commits to Auburn

4-Star CB Blake Woodby, a former Ohio State commit, committed yesterday to Auburn over Cincinnati, Maryland, and others.

Position coach Wesley McGriff and defensive coordinator DJ Durkin were the main recruiters for Woodby, and they did a great job making Woodby feel at home at Auburn.

Woodby ranks as high as 22nd overall (ESPN), and his On3 composite ranking puts him 138th nationally and 17th at his position.

As just mentioned, Auburn has 18 commitments in the 2025 class, which ranks 12th nationally and 6th in the SEC.

2026 4-Star CB Jontavius Wyman Commits to Georgia

2026 composite 4-star CB Jontavius Wyman committed yesterday to Georgia over offers from in-state Georgia Tech, as well as Florida State, Oregon, Auburn, and others.

For Wyman, getting an offer from Georgia was a dream come true, and visiting Athens felt like home and the place he wants to be.

Wyman ranks as high as 93rd nationally (On3) and 7th at his position (Rivals), while the On3 composite ranking places him 177th nationally and 15th at his position.

This is Georgia’s 2nd Blue Chip commitment for the 2026 class, joining On3 composite 5-Star QB Jared Curtis.
