5-Star WR Caleb Cunningham Commits to Alabama

Composite 5-Star WR Caleb Cunningham committed to Alabama yesterday over Auburn and in-state schools Ole Miss and Mississippi State, among others.

During the middle of the visit was when Cunningham said he knew he wanted to commit to Alabama.

Cunningham currently ranks as the 3rd ranked WR on 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN, and is ranked as the #2 WR and 14th overall prospect according to the On3 composite ranking.

This is now Alabama’s 17th Blue Chip and 22nd overall commitment for the 2025 class, which ranks 2nd nationally and 1st in the SEC.

4-Star WR Travis Smith Commits to Tennessee

Consensus 4-Star WR Travis Smith committed to Tennessee yesterday over Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia, among others.

Georgia was trending early for the WR, but the offensive production and scheme were too hard for Smith to ignore.

Smith is highest rated on On3, where he ranks 59th overall and 10th at the position.

His On3 composite ranking places him as the 81st overall recruit and 12th ranked WR in the country.

This is Tennessee’s 17th commitment, of which 9 are 4-stars, for a 2025 class which currently ranks 13th nationally and 6th in the SEC.

4-Star WR Daylan McCutcheon Commits to Florida State

Consensus 4-Star WR Daylan McCutcheon committed to Florida State yesterday over USC, Ohio State, Texas, and SMU, among others.

McCutcheon stated that he loved Tallahassee and how the town is all about Florida State football.

McCutcheon is ranked highest as the 77th overall prospect according to Rivals and as the 12th ranked WR according to On3. His On3 composite ranking places him 98th in the country and 15th at the WR position.

This is Florida State’s 10th Blue Chip commitment and only 12th overall for the 2025 class which still manages to rank 7th in the country, recently jumping Clemson, placing the Seminoles first in the ACC, now.

4-Star WR Quanell Farrakhan Jr. Commits to Colorado

Consensus 4-star WR, Quanell Farrakhan Jr., committed to Colorado yesterday, committing to the Buffaloes over other finalists Nebraska, UCLA.

Farrakhan pointed out how the program treating him like family is what really separated Colorado and made him want to commit.

The WR from Spring, TX is currently ranked as the 259th overall ranked recruit and the 38th ranked WR.

This is Colorado’s 6th commitment in the 2025 class, which ranks 69th nationally, 68th out of 68 teams in the P4, and 16th out of 16 teams in the Big 12.

4-Star Edge CJ May Commits to Louisville

4-Star Edge CJ May has committed to Louisville over Syracuse and his previous commitment to Notre Dame, among others.

May is most excited to play for Coach Jeff Brohm, who May believes has the Cardinals moving in the right direction.

May currently ranks as the 303rd overall national prospect and the 29th ranked edge rusher according to the On3 composite rankings.

This is Louisville’s 13th commitment and 1st composite 4-star according to On3. The Cardinals’ 2025 class currently ranks 55th overall nationally and 13th out of 17 in the new look ACC.

On3’s Top 10 Big Ten Conference Games for 2024

On3’s Jesse Simonton has continued with his daily articles on Top 10 games, yesterday listing his Top 10 Big Ten conference games for 2024.

Much like the other conferences, the teams at the top dominate the list, understandably. For example, each of the Top 6 games here include either Michigan or Ohio State, with #1 being the matchup between Michigan and Ohio State on Nov. 30.

Ohio State’s trips to Eugene, OR on Oct. 2 and Happy Valley, PA on Nov. 2 follow, with home games for Michigan against Big Ten newcomers Oregon and USC next.

4-Star WR Taz Williams Jr. Commits to Baylor in Surprising Commitment

4-Star WR Taz Williams Jr. committed to Baylor yesterday over SMU, Texas A&M, Michigan, and Penn State.

Committing to Baylor was not the surprising fact, committing to Baylor before taking his official visit at the end of the month when he had already announced his Top 4 – which did not include Baylor – was the surprising part.

ESPN and Rivals both give Williams that 4th star, while On3 and 247Sports both give him about as high of a rating as a 3-star can get.

Overall, his composite ranking is 311th nationally and 49th at the WR position.

Williams is Baylor’s 16th commitment for the 2025 class, a class which ranks 35th overall and 5th in the Big 12.

4-Star WR Daylyn Upshaw Commits to Miami

Fringe 4-Star WR Daylyn Upshaw committed yesterday to Miami over Auburn, UCF, Florida, and other offers.

For Upshaw, he appreciated the consistency of the coaching staff and the environment/vibe he felt down in Coral Gables.

Upshaw is ranked on On3’s composite as the 379th ranked recruit and 61st ranked WR.

Upshaw is Miami’s 18th commitment for the 2025 class, which ranks 10th nationally and 3rd in the ACC, narrowly placing behind Florida State (7th) and Clemson (8th).

3-Star S Jhase Thomas Commits to LSU

High 3-Star S Jhase Thomas committed yesterday to LSU over Colorado, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Houston, and others.

Thomas is excited to stay home and play DB for a school like LSU, which many see as having a strong claim as being “DBU.”

Thomas is ranked highest by On3, which ranks him 270th in the country and 22nd of safeties. His composite ranking places him 570th in the country and 49th at the safety position, but it’s pretty fair to speculate this will go up over time, as Rivals rated him fairly lowly with just a 5.5 (a fairly modest to low 3-star rating).

3-Star WR Muizz Tounkara Commits to Arizona

Consensus high 3-Star WR Muizz Tounkara committed yesterday to Arizona over Kansas, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and others.

Tounkara acknowledged the opportunity to be coached by as great of a staff as there is at Arizona as a big draw. Coach Bobby Wade having experience with the NFL, especially, was a big selling point.

Tounkara’s composite ranking places him as the 747th nationally ranked prospect and the 113th ranked WR, with 247Sports being the highest on Tounkara (86th ranked WR).

This is Arizona’s 20th commitment for the 2025 class, which, prior to Tounkara’s commitment, ranked 57th nationally and 10th in the new, 16-team Big 12. On3 has yet to add Tounkara’s commitment, but it’s probably safe to assume it will help bring the Wildcats up a spot or two nationally, but will likely not close the gap (yet) between it and Utah for 9th in the Big 12.
