Coach Day stated that Downs playing some running back would be a way to build depth out at the position, and that he believes Downs’ highest ceiling is at safety, but Downs enjoys having the ball in his hands.

Norvell: Important to have balance between high school and transfer recruiting

Head Coach Mike Norvell shared how he wants the majority of his players coming in to be from the high school ranks, but it still being worth it to add complimentary players from the transfer portal as ways to fill out the roster.
